We're really excited to get married and celebrate with friends and family, in the beautiful city which has become our home. We hope that you can make it!
We've put together some recommendations for places to stay, in case it's useful. York is a small, tourist-friendly city, so there are lots of places to stay, and you'll never be too far away from where you need to be.

About the venue

The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is a stunning medieval hall surrounded by a beautiful garden, located in the heart of York. Accessed from Fossgate, The Great Hall (upstairs) is the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and wedding breakfast. The Undercroft (downstairs) will host our evening reception. The venue has step-free access and a lift for getting between floors.
Getting here
Our wedding will be in central York, making train, bus, and car, all good options for getting here.
Train route from Pembs/Wales
Naomi's preferred route is to take the Swansea-Paddington line, then a short tube ride from Paddington to Kings Cross, and then the LNER train up to York. The London-York train is only 2 hours! Other routes from South Wales to York include:
- Milford Haven -> Manchester Piccadilly (direct) -> York (est. 6.5 hours)
- There are a few Cardiff -> York routes that include changes at Bristol Parkway or Birmingham New Street (est 4.5 hours)
