We're so excited to get married and celebrate with friends and family, in the beautiful city which has become our home. We hope that you can make it!
We've put together some recommendations for travel and accommodation, as well as some other useful information about the day. York is a small, tourist-friendly city, so there are lots of places to stay, and you'll never be too far away from where you need to be.

About the venue
The Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is a stunning medieval hall surrounded by a beautiful garden, located in the heart of York.
Accessed from Fossgate, The Great Hall (upstairs) is the perfect backdrop for our ceremony and wedding breakfast. The Undercroft (downstairs) will host our evening reception. The venue has step-free access and a lift for getting between floors.
Dress code
Formal but relaxed - don't worry about needing a tie, especially if we're lucky with the weather!
As per the hall's requirements, stiletto heels are not allowed. We'll have heel caps available just in case.
Getting here
Our wedding will be in central York, making train, bus, and car, all good options for getting here.
Parking
The Merchant Adventurers' Hall does not have its own car park but there are various public car parks near to the venue, some of which can be pre-booked.
Train routes from West/South Wales
- via London (Naomi's preferred route): Swansea to Paddington line ➡️ tube from Paddington to Kings Cross ➡️ train to York. The fastest London-York train is under 2 hours!
- via Manchester: Milford Haven to Manchester Piccadilly line ➡️ train to York
- via Bristol Parkway/Birmingham
